The GentleDraw™ Method
GentleDraw™ is advancing a more accessible, patient-centered standard for venipuncture and other needle-related care. We help patients approach needed procedures with greater trust, and equip providers to meet fear, anxiety, and trauma with skill, awareness, and dignity.
The GentleDraw™ Method
Fear of needles is common, yet it can become a real barrier to healthcare. For someone who is needle-nervous, needle-anxious, trypanophobic, or carrying the impact of a prior traumatic experience, the way a procedure is introduced, communicated, paced, and supported can determine whether necessary care feels possible at all.
The GentleDraw™ Method is a patient-experience methodology created to make venipuncture and needle-related procedures more approachable for the people who need thoughtful support most. That includes children, pregnant patients, older adults, patients with difficult venous access, people living with certain conditions, and patients whose prior experiences have shaped fear or avoidance.
GentleDraw certification is not venipuncture training, is not a phlebotomy course, and does not authorize any person to perform medical procedures.
